Flower Care: Dried Flowers

Keep your flowers beautiful for years to come with these tips and tricks from our flower experts for Dried Flowers.

No water 🙅‍♀️💧

Water makes the dried flowers' stems weak and mouldy. Keep them in a cool, dry area - much better if it's shaded. Avoid direct air-conditioning.

Avoid direct sunlight 🙅‍♀️☀️

Dried flowers will naturally fade over time, particularly if they are kept in direct sunlight. This is part of their charm, to be enjoyed as much as any other time. But to slow the fade, keep them away from direct sunlight.

Dust them carefully 🧹

Dust your dried flowers occasionally by using a soft, dry tissue or a hair dryer on the lowest speed with NO heat. Make sure to keep a suitable distance from the flowers so that the air flow is not too strong.

Be gentle 🥰

Dried flowers are fragile, and become more fragile as time goes on. Do not press, bend or squeeze the petals or stems! Rough handling of the blooms can cause the petals or stems to droop or worse - fall off entirely.

You may see some fall out from grasses, some petals or some little blooms but don’t despair. Collect these goodies and enjoy them in another way i.e. you can try making homemade potpourri.
